Glerren Bangalan is a Filipino writer and producer based in London. She is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Producing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she was also awarded the Michael Grandage Scholarship.

She started her career in 2016, writing, directing, and producing work for Deus Sex Machina, a Filipino live-reading performance group that features short-form new writing.
As a storyteller, she specialises in stories and comedies that explore sex and gender positivity, mental health and relationship dynamics. She has staged her work in various venues in Manila including DITO: Bahay ng Sining, Pineapple Lab, the Yuchengco Museum, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
Glerren is also a producer and host for two other independent Filipino production groups: GeekFight! and Catscratch Club. GeekFight! specialises in bespoke engagement events that centre on geek, hipster, and pop culture; and is best known for its quiz events. It has been on the scene for nearly 14 years, longer than any other independent quiz event provider. Catscratch Club, meanwhile, specialises in social events that centre on queer and musical theatre culture.
In September 2023, she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue higher education. She has since been involved in scratch nights, fringe and off-West End productions.

Prior to her work as a producer, Glerren worked in Marketing and PR for one of the Philippines’ top retail distribution companies and as a freelance writer for various publications. She is also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional.
